Service Agreement
By booking DJ Sammy for your event, you agree to these terms of service. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and DJ Sammy Chicago.
Booking & Deposits
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date
- The remaining balance is due on or before the event date
- Booking is confirmed only after the deposit is received
- Event details (time, venue, etc.) should be finalized at least 2 weeks before the event
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 30+ days before the event: Deposit forfeited
- Cancellations made 14-29 days before: 50% of total fee due
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before: Full fee due
- Date changes may be accommodated based on availability
Event Requirements
The client agrees to provide:
- Adequate electrical power (standard 120V outlets within 50 feet of setup area)
- A covered, climate-controlled area for equipment (for outdoor events)
- Reasonable access for equipment load-in and load-out
- A secure area for DJ equipment during the event
Equipment & Setup
- DJ will arrive 1-2 hours before the event start time for setup
- All professional sound and lighting equipment is provided as specified in the package
- Client is responsible for any damage to equipment caused by guests
Music & Requests
- Song requests can be submitted prior to the event
- DJ reserves the right to decline inappropriate song requests
- Final music decisions during the event are made by the DJ to maintain energy and flow
Overtime
If the event extends beyond the contracted time, overtime rates will apply at an agreed-upon hourly rate. Overtime must be approved and paid before the extension begins.
Liability
DJ Sammy maintains professional liability insurance. However, the client assumes responsibility for any injuries or damages caused by event guests. DJ Sammy is not responsible for venue-related issues or third-party vendor failures.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, severe weather, government actions, or public health emergencies. In such cases, the event may be rescheduled without penalty.
